Magic in a Bottle!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] KILIAN Paris L'Heure Verte Eau de Parfum has become my favorite fragrance very quickly! I love a unisex fragrance that brings an air of mystery and nostalgia; Kilian does not disappoint! With top notes of absinthe this scent transports you back in time to glamorous Hollywood parties, ball gowns, tuxedos and big bands. The base notes of patchouli, votives and sandalwood make you think of a romantic Fall evening with a special person, your favorite cocktails with the fire crackling and leaves falling. This fragrance can be all things to all people looking for subtle, sexy, romantic and a timeless classic to leave the room wondering what are you wearing and how it lingers. Great Licorice/Absinthe Scent.. But not too strong

This bottle seems to get the most mixed-reviews from the Kilian Liquors Collection, probably because it was given to so many people for free to review, and because it's Licorice/Absinthe scented which many people don't like. I've always liked the Black Licorice/Absinthe smell, so I was happy to buy this one! If you've never smelled Absinthe, it smells like Black Licorice. Think of "The black jellybean" for the scent you get, and that's the strongest scent coming from this one. I wish it was a bit stronger, but this is probably a "safe" amount of strength since most might not like it. I really like it! It's just not quite as strong as some of the others from the collection, like Roses on Ice or Angels Share. The bottle matches the others in the same line, with a golden color liquid which changes to a green tint in the light.

Overpowering!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon receiving this product I was taken back by the packaging and the beautiful perfume bottle. It reminds me of a crystal shot glass. The bottleKILIAN Paris L'Heure Verte Eau de Parfum definitely looks expensive! I really wanted to like this scent but it is extremely overpowering. The absinthe (licorice) makes me feel like an old person who is drinking a brandy. Definitely smells of alcohol which makes up for the French name “Happy Hour”. Smells as if I’ve had quite a few. My husband said this smells like something a rich grandma would wear.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is something that I probably wouldn’t buy on my own. It is thick, androgynous, and feels a little dark or smoky. I always get compliments on it when I wear it and it sticks with you and on your clothes.
